Position Title: Assessment Counselor

Job description:
The purpose of the Assessment Counselor is to facilitate the admission process, answer inquiries and assist patients to adjust to the detoxification program routine. The Admission Staff documents the admission process in to the medical record and provides clinical staff with information concerning the patient’s presentation and clinical needs at time of intake.

Duties/Responsibilities:
• New patient intake and orientation
• Conducts initial assessment of patient problems and needs and reports to clinical team to initiate treatment planning
• Conducts individual sessions
• Facilitates groups with patients
• Addresses patient's concerns and helps eliminate possibility of AMA
• Provides Case Management
• Provides tours for prospective patients and their families as requested.
• Documentation in patient medical record

Requirements:
• Must have one of the following: LAC, LPC, LSW or LCSW
• License or certification, clean and active
• Minimum one-year experience in substance abuse
• Experience conducting group sessions
• Flexibility and willingness are great attributes

Schedule:
• Monday - Friday 9:30AM - 6:00PM

Compensation:
• Hourly rate competitive with experience and location
